2022 Auction & Gala

Join Harmonia for our 2022 Auction Week & Gala!
“For the Love of Music”

It's time to celebrate another season of music, and never has a season been more deserving of celebration. In spite of everything, Harmonia has managed to mount a superb concert season due entirely to the unwavering commitment of our musicians and audiences. And we’ve done it all for the love of music, hence the title of this year's gala event.

This year, we're restructuring our spring fundraising activities, in the hopes of creating the most enjoyable — and lucrative — experience possible. (This is, after all, a fundraiser!) The majority of our auction items will be available for bidding during our week-long online auction, which will run from Saturday, April 30 to Saturday, May 7. When we pivoted to an online auction in May 2020, it turned out to be a huge success, and we think we can do it even better this year. We'll also feature an assortment of delightful online festivities that week as part of our fundraising efforts.

The auction week will be capped off with a gala party on Saturday, May 7 at 5:30 p.m. at the Mount Baker Community Center. The gala will feature games, a live auction, paddle raise and — most importantly — live music! Soprano Ellaina Lewis will join members of our orchestra for an evening of songs, arias and spirituals. With catered food and drinks, it's sure to be a fun and festive occasion.

If you've been following our progress this season, you know that it's been possible because we have taken every possible safety precaution: vaccine mandates, masks, portable air filtration systems and rapid tests. We've had to find new rehearsal venues and we even reprogrammed an entire concert on the fly. We think you'll agree that all the extra energy and expense has been worth making this season happen. After all, as human beings, we need more than just disease-free bodies: we also need spiritual sustenance. And that's why we're asking you to take part in this year's auction week: for the love of music.

Thank You

Thank you to the generous individuals, businesses and organizations who donated items to be auctioned off during our May 2020 online event, helping raise over $52,000 to support our upcoming concerts!
